Shirley M. Carey, 74, Emerado, ND, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Shirley was born November 9, 1942 in Teulon, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Maurice and Pearl (Harysimko) Tymofichuk, She attended school in Winnipeg, then worked in the food service industry. Shirley moved to Grand Forks Air Force Base in 1976. She married Leon Carey on April 9, 1976. In 1990 they moved to Emerado, ND. Shirley worked in food service at the Grand Forks Air Force Base until her retirement in 2006. Shirley enjoyed life and knew how to make you laugh. She loved any time with her children and grandchildren, working on her flower garden and travel. She also loved being an active member of the Gospel Outreach Church of Grand Forks. Shirley was a avid supporter of the Larimoure Girls Basketball.  She is survived by her loving husband Leon Carey of Emerado, ND Her Mother Pearl Tymofichuk, Winnipeg MB Brothers Richard (Kim) Winnipeg MB and Lenny (Katie) Tymofichuk of Calgary, AB; her daughters, Renée (Reggie) Lott, of Denver Colorado, Monique (Chris) Arnal of Hookstown Pennsylvania, and Cheryl-lynn Arnal of Grand Forks ND; grandchildren: Brandi (Andrea) Virgil of Aurora CO, Shaudae (Jenae) Byrant-Collins, of Denver CO, Nicole and Ashley Johnson of Grand Forks, ND Brittany Broughton Queen Hoschton GA, Becki Broughton Merrietta, GA, Jeremy (Kristina) BonAnno Midland PA, Joshua BonAnno Rochester PA Clayon Langhorn Hookstown PA. great-grand-children: Addison Fuguere, Chloe Virgil, Lexi Bryant-Collins, Aaron Henderson, Jeryn and Maylee BonAnno and many nieces, nephews, and friends Preceded in death by her Father Maurice Tymofichuk, daughter Michelle Broughton, great grand-son Berkley Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m.  Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Valley Christian Center of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Valley Christian Center and will continue for the hour before the service in the church.
