JAMES MARLYN NOSS James M. Noss, age 82 of Grand Forks, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fairview Cemetery in Stanley, ND. James Marlyn Noss , son of Alvin and Edna (Gandrud) Noss was born on March 18, 1935 in Mountrail County. He was reared and educated in the area. After his education, he entered the US Army. On January 31, 1963, he was honorably discharged. He returned to the Stanley area and worked at Gray Brothers Creamery. Later Jim moved to Grand Forks and worked at the University of North Dakota in the Custodial Department for 15 years; followed by working for St Michael's School in Grand Forks, also as a custodian, until his retirement. On July 25, 1987, he was married to Karen (Lynch) Kacijancic at Wesley United Methodist Church in Grand Forks. He was a member of the Forx Amateur Radio Club, American Legion and VFW. Jim had his Amateur Radio License (KB0LYD) and would listen to his ham radio. He also enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and e-mailing with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Karen of Grand Forks, step-son, Scott (Bernadette) Kacijancic of San Diego, Ca and Timothy Kacijancic of Minneapolis, MN; 3 step-grandchildren; a sister Elaine Gray of Stanley, ND. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Darol L Noss.
