Eileen Quibell

August 8, 1947 — September 24, 2017

EILEEN QUIBELL   Eileen Quibell, age 70 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 after a short but courageous battle with cancer in the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be 1 hour before service time.   Eileen Quibell, the only daughter of Lloyd and Julia (Felland) Anderson, was born on August 8, 1947 at Williston, ND. Eileen completed her elementary education in the Red Wing country school, middle school in Arnegard, ND and graduated high school in Watford City, ND. After graduation, she moved to Fargo and attended Interstate Business College receiving a degree in bookkeeping. On December 17, 1966, she was united in marriage to Douglas Quibell in Moorhead, MN. They started their married life in Drayton and later moved to the family farm in rural Kennedy, MN where she devoted her time raising her children while helping Doug farm. Eileen began working at MCI in Pembina in 1993. Eileen moved to Pembina in 2001 and later moved to West Fargo after retiring. In 2015, she moved to Grand Forks to be closer to her family and has resided there since.   She enjoyed reading cookbooks, fishing, planting flowers, yard work, window shopping, and was an avid sports fan. She was an excellent cook and always prepared for more than an army. She will always be remembered for her homemade buns, fried chicken, and everybody's favorite her homemade chocolate cake.   She is survived by a daughter, Jodi (Stu) Quibell of Grand Forks; a son, Raymond (Kristi) Quibell of Drayton; grandchildren, Justin Gierszewski, Cory Gierszewski, Cayden Quibell, and Alyvia Quibell; brothers, Lloyd (Judy) Anderson of Fargo, ND, Raymond (Charlotte) Anderson of Trout Creek, MT and Mike (Marlys)Anderson of Arnegard, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
