Janelle Marie Mulroy (Sipper), 47, passed away peacefully Wednesday November 15, 2017 in Grand Forks, ND after a battle with cancer. Janelle was born on March 3, 1970 in Brainerd MN to Ray and Charlene Sipper of Brainerd MN. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1988. Janelle then went on to attend the University of North Dakota where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in 1992 and earned her CPA. Shortly after graduation she was hired with Brady Martz & Associates where she was a shareholder until she passed. In 1993, Janelle married Dan Mulroy in Nisswa MN and they settled down and made a home in Grand Forks where they welcomed two beautiful daughters Allison and Alyssa Mulroy. Janelle was very active within the Grand Forks community, she was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants. She was a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and served as a report reviewer for the GFOA Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award.  As much as Janelle was dedicated to her accounting capabilities, she also loved volunteering her time to the local youth organizations including being the treasurer and past president of the Grand Forks Kiwanis Club, the treasurer of the Greater GF Girls and Women's Hockey Association and her heart always held a special place for when she volunteered every year at the Special Olympics. Janelle is survived by her loving husband, Dan Mulroy Jr; their two amazing daughters, Allison and Alyssa Mulroy; her parents, Ray and Charlene Sipper, Nisswa, MN; mother in-law, Bev Mulroy, Nisswa, MN; brother, Dan (Brooke) Sipper, Marion, IA; brother in-law, Pat (Donna) Mulroy, Prior Lake, MN; sister in-law, Laree (Jeff) Garland, Nisswa, MN; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Janelle is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and June Hemp and Steven and Lillian Sipper; father in-law, Dan Mulroy Sr; and brother in-law, Shawn Mulroy. A visitation is scheduled for 10 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 am, Tuesday November 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 216 Belmont Rd, Grand Forks. In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be donated in the honor of Janelle Mulroy to the Community Violence Intervention Center or Altru Foundation for Cancer Care.
