Kenneth Nolan Eisbrener, 62, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the ACS Hope Lodge in Minneapolis, MN. Ken was born November 19, 1955 to parents Raymond and Nellie (Brynjulfson) Eisbrener in Spokane, WA. When he was 1 ½ years old, the family moved to Grand Forks, ND. He attended school at Viking Elementary, Schroeder Middle School and graduated from Red River High School. Ken attended UND, graduating with a degree in geography and cartography. Ken was employed at UND as a teaching assistant during graduate school and also was employed at Bill Larson Furniture Co., Kedney Moving, Domino’s Pizza and Sam’s Club. He retired when his health began to deteriorate. Ken enjoyed anything to do with cars, especially adding to his massive car brochure collection. He had a vast knowledge of trivia in many areas; geography, music and politics among other areas. Ken is survived by his sister, Rae Ann Eisbrener; brother, Russell Eisbrener; nieces, Rachel Eisbrener and Lisa Foster; nephews, Alex Eisbrener and Jared Nygord, all of Grand Forks, and nephew, Brandin Foster, Grafton, ND and many cousins and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Phil. Ken will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Memorials are requested to be directed to the Circle of Friends Humane Society in Grand Forks, or the charity of your choice.
