Marjorie E. Mauland, 91, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Marjorie Ellen Seebart was born February 7, 1927, in Grand Forks, ND, the only child of Charles and Anna (Boehm) Seebart. Marjorie grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from UND in 1948 with a degree in Home Economics Ed. After several years of teaching Marjorie went back to school to pursue her interest in Christian Education at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN. Marjorie earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Denver on Dec. 8, 1971. On December 22, 1959, Marjorie married Lyle Edgar Mauland in Grand Forks. The couple built a home north of UND and lived there until illness required them to move in 2013. Marjorie had many interest from jewelry making, painting, cooking and baking, but most importantly her Bible study. She is survived by several cousins. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Lyle. Memorial services will take place on Thursday, April 5 at 3pm at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND, with visitation one hour prior to the service, and burial at Memorial Park North in Grand Forks.
