Debra Kay Werner, 53, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Debra was born February 12, 1965, in Williston, ND, the daughter of Clayton & Francis (Cerney) Sundre. She grew up in Grand Forks, moving to Minot as a teenager. She gave birth to 5 children, while becoming a step mother to 2 beautiful daughters. Eventually, she made her home in GF, with her loving boyfriend, Dean Willson. Through the years, Debra was mostly self-employed within the gas & oil industry, while later taking employment at LM Windpower. She later went on to become a full-time grandmother. She enjoyed being a mom, grandmother, fishing, surrounding herself with family and friends. She loved her animals, was a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan, but most of all loved being a domestic goddess. Debra is survived by her children, Nicole Borud, Derek (Kathryn) Borud, Wyatt (Erin) Werner, Boston Werner, Shanna Werner, Tanya Cowart and Mindy Werner; her granddaughters, Elyse, Lorelai, Coraline, Kaylee, Chloe, Ashlee, and Jaci; her grandsons, Jaydon, Stryker, and Noah; her sister, Diane Hellman; Deb’s significant other, Dean Willson, along with his 3 sons, Josh (Chrissy) Willson, Jason Willson and Travis Willson. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13 at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church of Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
