Robert D. Ferguson Bob Ferguson, 70, of Thompson, formerly of Hatton, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at home. Bob, the son of Art and Mary (Jorde) Ferguson, was born March 12, 1948 in Grand Forks. He was the youngest of three children. He grew up in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1966. Bob then served in the US Army from 1968- 1970. Bob worked various jobs before working for American Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks for 30 years. In 1971 he married GeorgeAnne Peabody. They lived in the Grand Forks area for 6 years before moving to Hatton to raise their family. They lived in Hatton for 39 years before moving to Thompson in 2016. Bob will be remembered for his laugh and dry wit humor. He was always ready with a quick joke. He was a very giving man, always ready to lend a hand to help a friend or loved one. Bob is survived by his wife GeorgeAnne, children: Jared (Kathy) of Hillsboro; Jenny (Rob) Griggs, of Reynolds; Jason (Shawna) of Thompson; JacLyn Ferguson and special friend Paul of Soldotna, AK; 12 grandchildren: Kenny (Libby), Cody (Tabitha) Kassandra, Kayse (Bailey), Brittany (Devin), Mason, Jacob, Jadin, Alexa, Lauren, Bentley, and Brielle; 2 great grandchildren: Jude and baby girl due in July, brother Duane (Barb) of Colorado Springs, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Carol Hagness, and aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Juanita Hagness. Bob was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church. Memorial service will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton, ND.
