Coleman A. Stadstad, 29, of Manvel, ND, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center/Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, surrounded by his family. Coleman was diagnosed with Leukemia in Nov. 2017. He passed away due to complications from his bone marrow transplant. Coleman Arthur Stadstad, son of Russell and Marcie (Holter) Stadstad, was born on April 12, 1989 in Grand Forks, ND. He grew up near Manvel, ND and attended Manvel Public School and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 2007. Coleman was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged on January 16, 2008. He was very proud of his time in the military. He was employed by Republic Parking at the Grand Forks Airport working with his good friend until his diagnosis. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Manvel, 4-H thru the age of 18, National Barrel Horse Assoc., American Paint Horse Association, Pinto Horse Association of America, ND Pinto Horse Association, Red River Horse Show Association, FM Mounted Posse Assoc. Coleman enjoyed canoeing and fishing, showing horses, hunting with Grandpa, loved all animals, loved gaming and hanging out with his friends. He is survived by his parents Russell and Marcie Stadstad of Manvel; brother, Nickolas Leavy of Oslo, MN; sisters, Brooke Gennaro of McCanna, ND and Sharla Stadstad of Grand Forks, ND; grandmother, Gayle Holter of Oslo, MN, grandmother, Hilma Stadstad of Fosston, MN, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Coleman was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Eleanor Stadstad, and George Holter. Coleman was a gentle loving soul who always thought of others first and had many friends throughout the US. **In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manvel, ND, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment: Middle Grove Cemetery near Mekinock, ND.
